Strike: Reps leadership to meet Buhari after reaching agreement with ASUU


The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has called on striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and Government to find a way out of ongoing strike in the interest of Nigerian Students.

Speaking on Tuesday after a closed-door meeting with the leadership of ASUU and Goodluck Opiah, minister of state for education, the speaker said the green chamber will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari over the crisis.

ASUU National President, Emmanuel Osodeke while responding to the speakers call lamented the indifference of government towards the strike.

On his part, the Minister of State for Education, Good luck Opiah says the strike has become a concern and worry for all stakeholders in the education sector including the government.
