Some South West governors and ministers has paid a visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to commiserate with the State following attacks by hoodlums on public and private owned facilities in the state.
The entourage met with Governor Sanwo-Olu at the government house in Marina where they took off on a tour to examine the facilities set ablaze. Government-owned and private assets affected include Orile Divisional Police Headquarters, Ajah Divisional headquarters,Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu, Lagos Island LGA Secretariat, City Hall, Nigeria Port Authority building at Marina, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre at CMS, Vehicle Inspection Service headquarters at Ojodu and Toll Plazas at Lekki and Ikoyi Link Bridge, among others.
Those present include; Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Rauf Aregbesola the Minister of the Interior, Babatunde Fashola the Minister of Power and Housing, Olorunmibe Mamowora the Minister of State for Health, Niyi Adebayo the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, and Olamilekan Adebite, Minister of Mines and Steel.
The ministers said they were directed by the Federal Government to carry out an on-the-spot assessment tour on the damaged infrastructures.
