Small plane crashes in Canada causing “numerous fatalities”  


An unconfirmed number of people have been killed after a small plane crashed in eastern Canada, police said. 

The Piper PA-32 is a single-engine aircraft, which seats five to six people crashed on Wednesday evening in Kingston Ontario. 

The Kingston Police did not disclose the number of people on board the Piper PA-32 aircraft, but confirmed “numerous fatalities,” without giving further details. 

“We are now confirming that there are numerous fatalities in regards to the small downed aircraft located this evening,” police said in a tweet. 

In a statement on its website, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada said it would send a team of investigators to the scene early Thursday.
