Senate task contractors on speedy completion of the national assembly complex

The operators of Abuja Light Rail Project have lamented the activities of vandals, who reportedly removed some of the newly installed solar panels in the facility.

They made this known while the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory conducted an inspection on some of the ongoing projects within the city as part of the committee’s oversight function over the weekend in Abuja.

The chairman of the senate committee on FCT, Smart Adeyemi however urged the management of the rail to employ locals to ensure adequate security of the facility as this will further create jobs.

While commending the efforts of the contractors in charge of the National Assembly complex currently being renovated by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), the Committee tasked them to ensure the speedy completion of the project before the end of the current administration.

They explained that it will not tell well of democracy if the project is left uncompleted. They further promised to ensure that the challenges being laid by the contractors were tackled.
