Rockets hit the Afghan capital on Tuesday, landing near the presidential palace during prayers for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.
Despite multiple explosions in the area, TV images showed President Ashraf Ghani and many others continued with the prayers at an outdoor gathering.
According to local media, he said, ‘This Eid has been named after Afghan forces to honour their sacrifices and courage, the Taliban showed that they have no will for peace’ and added that ‘we will make decisions based on that’,
Meanwhile, the interior ministry spokesperson, clarified that while three rockets landed outside the palace, there were no immediate reports of injuries.
Taliban insurgents have denied any involvement in the attack.
