Former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has been sworn in as senator representing Imo West Senatorial District in the federal House of Representatives.
The former Imo state governor took the oath of office on Thursday morning.
On Tuesday, when other senators-elect took the oath of office at the inauguration of the ninth Senate, Okorocha was not sworn in.
His certificate had earlier been withdrawn after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the issuing officer declared the February 23 senatorial elections result under duress.
INEC’s insistence on not issuing the certificate was despite a court order directing the commission to do so.
However, later on Tuesday, INEC issued Okorocha his certificate, but said it would appeal the court ruling.
