Rising insecurity: There are huge leakages in Nigeria’s security system-Adamu

Bandits have invaded a residential area in Tsafe town and abducted five students of the College of Health Science and Technology, Tsafe, in Zamfara State.

According to reports, the incident happened on Wednesday morning when heavily armed men stormed the residence outside the school campus adding that the bandits could not gain entrance to the school due to the heavy presence of security personnel.

Police authorities in Zamfara State have also confirmed the abductions saying the command has deployed troops to trail the bandits and rescue the victims unhurt.

Meanwhile, reactions have continued to trail the rising attacks bedeviling the country.

In its latest reaction, the Northern Elders Forum has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign for failing to provide security in the country.

The forum lamented that it was disappointing that after nearly seven years of being in office, President Buhari still has no answers to the nation’s security challenges.

Joining me on the news to discuss this further is Kabir Adamu, Security Expert and Managing Director of Beacon Consulting Ltd. Thank you very much for joining us.
