An FCT High Court is set to hear the Federal Government’s application to extend the detainment of the Convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, for 20 more days.
The Federal Government had filed seven counts bordering on treasonable felony and money laundering against him.
Sowore had been detained in the custody of the DSS for 45 days pending the conclusion of its investigation before the federal government filed addition charges against him on Friday September 20, a day before the 45-day detention was to elapse.
The hearing is expected to hold on Tuesday and Sowore’s counsel, Femi Falana, is already present in court.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor is, however, yet to be present therefore, the matter has been stood down till 11:00 am to enable them get to court.
