The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Foundation has donated an unspecified amount to charities working in Nigeria for devastated victims affected by the flood.
In a press release by Sky News, a Spotify representative confirmed the Archewell Foundation had made donations to both UNICEF and Save the Children.
The spokesperson said the donations, of an undisclosed amount, would “help provide relief following devastating floods wreaking havoc in Nigeria”.
The royal couple makes the donations after Meghan earlier this week shared her genealogy results in the latest episode of Archetypes, where she revealed she is 43% Nigerian.
The recent floods have affected most parts of Nigeria, displacing 1.3 million people, killing more than 600, and injuring more than 2,400.
While Nigeria typically experiences seasonal flooding, the floods are the worst the country has seen since the 2012 major flood which displaced more than 2.1 million people.
