Presidential Primary Aftermath: Gov. Wike Meets PDP Governors, others

It appears that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, is not ready to leave things to chance as it has made moves to amend the rift in the party, triggered by the outcome of the party’s presidential primary election.

To this end, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Sunday played host to some governors of his party and a few other members.

Although the details of the meeting, which lasted hours behind closed doors at the Rivers State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja remains unclear, it might be connected to the internal crisis in the PDP.

Speaking to journalists, a member of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, Jerry Gana told journalists that the party remains united and set to reclaim power at the upcoming polls.
