Police rescue two abducted Bethel Baptist School student


Police operatives have rescued two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, Mohammed Jalige, who confirmed the development, explained that they were rescued on Wednesday evening in Rijanna area along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

He added that the students have been taken to a police medical facility where they are currently undergoing medical examination.

Unknown gunmen stormed the  Bethel Baptist secondary school in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state on July 8, kidnapping a total of 121 students.

They thereafter demanded the sum of N60m as ransom for the release of the kidnapped students.

However, the police had earlier rescued one of the students in the forest making the total number of rescued victims three
