Police arrest ‘kidnappers’ of Kaduna Baptist school students


The police have arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the abduction of over 100 students of the Bethel Baptist school, Kaduna.

The suspects who were paraded by the Force Public Relations Officers, Frank Mba, at the headquarters of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS, in Abuja, explained that they carried out the operation for financial gains.

Police spokesperson, Frank Mba, said the three suspects are part of the 25-man gang that kidnapped the students.

He said the police have obtained sufficient intelligence to facilitate the arrest of other members of the gang.

Addressing journalists on Thursday at the force headquarters, Abuja, the police spokesperson said 47 other suspects were arrested for various offences, including murder, kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery and car theft.
