Lawmaker representing Adamawa North senatorial district, Elisha Abbo has been arraigned before the Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja on one count charge of assault.
This is coming days after a CCTV footage showed the lawmaker physically assaulting a woman in a store in Abuja.
Abbo’s arraignment was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Bala Ciroma
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command had interrogated the lawmaker last Thursday and subsequently detained him for 24 hours.
It was gathered that Police detectives had established a prima facie case against the Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker, hence the reason for his arraignment.
