Pipeline surveillance: Activist urges Federal Government to revoke Tompolo’S contract

The decision by the Federal government to hire private contractors to man its oil pipeline network nationwide has continued to garner criticisms from activists and stakeholders.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Rita Lori-Ogbebor, a Niger Delta activist, urged the Federal Government to revoke the N48 billion pipeline surveillance contracts awarded to the former Niger Delta Militant Leader, Government Ekpemu polo, popularly known as Tompolo.

According to her, it is the responsibility of the government to manage Niger Delta affairs and not individuals or companies.
