PDP names presidential screening committee


The national working committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has named a nine-member presidential screening committee.

This was made known in a statement issued by the PDP national organising secretary, Umar Bature on Monday.

The panel is to screen the presidential hopefuls who have purchased and submitted the expression of interest and nomination forms to represent the party in the 2023 presidential election.

The committee is scheduled to sit on Friday at the Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja.

The statement also revealed that former senate president, David Mark will preside over the panel, with Esther Udu-ehi serving as the secretary.

Meanwhile, the opposition party has also constituted committees to screen governorship, state houses of assembly and national assembly hopefuls.
