The remains of popular televangelist and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Temitope Joshua, has been laid to rest.
TB Joshua, as he is fondly called, died on June 5, few days before his 58th birthday.
The interment and laying-to-rest service was held at the Synagogue Headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos amidst tears from family members, church members and other well wishers as well as dignitaries including Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.
Others included Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State who was represented by the state’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, and the wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Naomi Adeyeye.
Gospel singers Shirley Murdock and Byron Cage also graced the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the “umbrella organisation containing numerous Christian denominations,” which previously had a not so cordialrelationship with the late clergyman, sent a delegation to the burial.
The late televangelist was revered by people from around the world and tens of thousands of people attended his weekly services.
