Paris FC Reach €7m Agreement for Moses Simon Transfer from Nantes

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, newly-promoted Ligue 1 side Paris FC have reached an agreement with FC Nantes for the transfer of Nigerian international Moses Simon.

The 29-year-old winger has been a top target for Paris FC as they prepare for their first top-flight campaign in 46 years. The transfer deal is reportedly valued at €7 million.

Earlier reports from Ouest-France indicated that Paris initially submitted a €5 million bid, which fell short of Nantes’ valuation. However, the club returned with an improved offer that appears to have convinced Les Canaris to part ways with Simon, who has been a key figure at the club since his permanent move in 2020.

Simon played a major role in helping Nantes avoid relegation multiple times and was instrumental in their back-to-back Coupe de France final appearances in 2022 and 2023, including winning the trophy in 2022 against OGC Nice, marking the club’s fourth Coupe de France title.

In the 2023/24 season, Simon recorded eight goals and 10 assists, helping Nantes finish 13th in the league, six points clear of relegation. Over the course of his 201 appearances for the club, he has registered 37 goals and 42 assists.

Although the Nigerian forward had attracted interest from Rennes, Olympique Marseille, and Premier League side Everton, it now appears that his move to Paris FC is close to completion.
