Owo Church Attack: Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu breaks down, admits failure of government


The people of Owo, Ondo state and the Catholic Church have been thrown into mourning, as the victims of the deadly attack on St. Francis Catholic Church are laid to rest today.

This comes11 days after 40 worshipers of St Francis Catholic Church, in Owo, Ondo state South west Nigeria lost their lives in the gruesome attack by gunmen wielding deadly weapons and explosives.

The funeral mass began by 9 am at Mydas Resort and Hotels in Owo  and had in attendance Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and a former governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko.

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who admitted the failure of the government to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians, expressed optimism of triumph over the killers.
