Osogbo youths protest hike in fuel price, electricity tariff

Some youths in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Tuesday staged a protest, against the recent hike in fuel price and electricity tariff.

The agitators drawn from the National Association of Nigeria Students, NANS and the #RevolutionNow movement began the protest from Freedom Park, Osogbo, and moved through MDS road to Olaiya Junction, chanting anti-government songs.

The Federal Government last Wednesday, through the Petroleum Pricing Marketing Company (PPMC), increased the ex-depot price of petrol from N138 to NN151.56 per litre, forcing marketers to increase pump price from N148 to N162 per litre.
