Barely 24 hours after he was dismissed from training by coach Luciano Spelletti following a brawl with a teammate, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen returned to training with Napoli on Tuesday, beaming with a smile.
The Partenopeans are camped at Castel di Sangro, somewhere in the central part of Italy.
Osimhen was angered by a poor tackle from Napoli’s new signing Leo Ostigard, who recently claimed the Nigeria international was the toughest opponent he had faced in his career, leading to persistent complaints and a display of anger by the striker.
Frustrated by his behaviour, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti sent Osimhen out of the training session to “take a shower.”
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, things are fine between the club’s record signing and the manager, quelling rumours that Osimhen may be forced out of the club following his behaviour.
Napoli play next on Wednesday against Adana Demirspor.
Osimhen would look to outdo compatriot Henry Onyekuru, who just joined the Turkish side this summer.
