One killed in Guinea anti-government protest

One protester has been killed in Guinea as anti-government demonstrations continued for the second day in the capital Conakry.

Security minister Damantang Camara said the circumstances of the death was not immediately clear but an investigation was underway.

No fewer than 14 people have died since demonstrations erupted in the West African country last month against plans which could allow President Alpha Conde to seek a third term in office.

The 81-year-old Conde, whose second and final five-year term expires next year, has refused to rule out running again and asked his government last month to look into drafting a new constitution.
