Omoyele Sowore Attacked by Thugs at Lagos City Marathon

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 elections, was reportedly attacked by suspected thugs on Saturday morning during the Lagos City Marathon. Sowore, along with crew members from his media outfit, was reportedly assaulted while participating in the marathon event.

In addition to Sowore, the thugs also targeted journalists who were covering the event, injuring several of them and destroying their cameras and other equipment. A video footage from the scene shows the thugs physically assaulting Sowore, his crew, and the journalists present.

One of the thugs was seen grabbing the neck of a journalist who was holding a camera, adding to the distressing scenes. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of journalists and participants at public events.
