Obaseki resigns from APC

Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor announced this on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This comes the Edo State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Tony Aziegbemi assured that the Edo governor would be joining the PDP

“I can confirm to you that the governor, his deputy, and the entire APC structure in the state will be joining the PDP soon”, he said to newsmen on Monday.

Obaseki had been disqualified from contesting the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress slated for June 22nd.
