Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has said it would be immoral for him to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Obaseki said this on Friday while briefing state house correspondents after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Edo state governor had dumped the APC for the PDP when the ruling party disqualified him from participating in its primary election ahead of the September 19 election.
He later went on to win the election, defeating the candidate of the APC, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Following the election, there had been speculations that he might return to the APC.
Responding to the concerns, Obaseki said it would be immoral for him to do so.
This is Obaseki’s first visit to President Buhari since his re-election on September 19, 2020.
