Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has pointed that the West African sub-region and the continent at large is currently going through several challenges as a result of political instability in the area. The former president said this at the opening session ofa high-level dialogue organised by the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital. Obasanjo, lamented that coup d’état, election fraud and political violence and instability had crippled the growth of Africa. He also condemned military takeover of democratically elected governments in some African countries adding that power-grabbing and governance through the gun would neither help Africa nor procure democracy through the judiciary.
