The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, on Sunday, described the October 21 attack by hoodlums on the Nigerian Ports Authority headquarters as disastrous.
During a tour of the NPA headquarters, Amaechi also noted that the perpetrators of the act should be punished.
The minister who lamented the extent of the damage said no matter how angery people are they shoul not resort to destruction of public and private properties.
Amaechi pointed out that he believes this should not just end here because if some people are not punished, some others might want to repeat the crime in the future.
The minister said with the level of damage, NPA should approach the Federal government for funds for resconstruction.
