Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases nears 30k as it records 503 new cases


Nigeria’s Coronavirus case has increased to 29, 789 cases after 503 new cases were reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday night.

The health agency revealed this latest statistics on its official twitter handle in a series of tweet.

The NCDC said the new cases were reported across 20 states across the federation.

Lagos which is the epicentre of the disease recorded 153 new cases closely followed by Ondo State which recorded 76 new cases.

Other affected states include Edo-54, FCT-41, Enugu-37, Rivers-30, Benue-24, Osun-20, Kaduna-15, Kwara-13, Abia-9, Borno-8, Plateau-6, Taraba-5, Ogun and Kano with 3 each, Kebbi and Nasarawa recorded 2 cases each while Bayelsa and Gombe recorded one case.

In total 12, 108 persons have been discharged while 669 persons have died resulting from the complications of the disease.
