The operational activities of the Nigerian Military in tackling insecurity in the country has continued to yield significant results.
The Troops alongside other Security Agencies in the last 3 weeks raided and killed top ISWAP Commander, Mallam Ari and Foreign Allies who further the cause of insecurity in Nigeria. The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Benard Onyeuko disclosed this at a bi-weekly press briefing on Military operations between 20th of January to February 10. According to Onyeuko, during the period under review, the Troops rescued about twenty-five abducted civilians, while nine hundred and sixty-five terrorists which includes one hundred and four ISWAP members surrendered to the Military.
