BREAKING: Nigeria to reopen airports for international flights from Aug. 29 -Aviation minister

Airports in Nigeria will reopen for international flights beginning on August 29.

This was disclosed by the minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika in a tweet on Monday.

He tweeted, “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.

“Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”

It’s been five months since the Nigerian government shut down its airport for both local and international flight except for essential services.

    With the daily diagnosed of new coronavirus infected Nigerians, nationwide, opening international airports would spike COVID 19 cases nationwide. FGN. has not strictly and competently handled the lock-down to completely eliminate COVID 19, pandemic in Nigeria, like Italy, as Nigeria, is fond of towing USA line instead of following Italy and New Zealand and South Korea, that successfully locked down and reduced cases of coronavirus pandemic.other
