The federal government has announced its decision to stop the payment of fuel subsidy by 2022. This was disclosed by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed at the launch of the World Bank Nigeria Development Update (NDU) on Tuesday. The minister however said a transport grant of N5000 will target about 40 million Nigerians who make up the poorest population of the country.
