Nigeria records two COVID 19 deaths for the first time in Six days, death tally rises to 1,165

Nigeria recorded 146 fresh new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, bringing the total COVID 19 cases to 65,839.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCNC, two deaths were recorded for the first time in six days bringing the total fatality toll to 1,165.

The 146 new cases were reported from 11 states with Lagos leading with 62 cases, the FCT 23 cases and Kaduna state 21 cases.

NCDC, in its official Twitter handle on Thursday night disclosed “of the over 65,000 infections, about 61,573 persons have been discharged from hospitals, after treatment, while nearly 3,500 active cases remain in the country.”

The 146 new cases are reported from 11 states – Lagos (62), FCT (23), Kaduna (21), Ogun (12), Rivers (12), Ondo (5), Oyo (3), Plateau (3), Bauchi (2), Katsina (2), Kano (1).
