Nigeria records highest cases in a day as 86 patients tests positive to Coronavirus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control have announced that it has recorded 86 new cases of Coronavirus recorded the highest daily figure since the pandemic broke out in the country.

The health agency announced this via its official twitter handle on Sunday night.

The newly recorded figures brings to the total confirmed cases in the country to 627.

Giving the breakdown, the NCDC revealed that Lagos which is the epicenter of the Virus recorded 70 new cases, 7 in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Borno state.

The death toll in the country have also increased from 19 to 21 in the last 24 hours.

The country has been recording high cases in the major cities which have since been on lockdown in the last 21 days bringing worry to the minds of many of the residents in these state.
