Nigeria records 74 new COVID infections, Zero Casualties


Seventy-Four people tested positive for Covid 19 on Sunday, raising the country’s infection tally to 206,138.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the latest positive samples of COVID-19 were recorded in eight states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

Lagos topped the COVID-19 infection chart with 36 new cases, followed by Edo and the FCT with eleven and nine cases respectively.

Other states that recorded new infections include Akwa Ibom (6), Sokoto (6), Delta (3), Benue (1), Oyo (1) and Rivers (1).

Meanwhile, no new deaths were reported by the agency, making it the second consecutive day, the country will report zero casualties.
