Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 25 new COVID-19 infections in five states.
Lagos topped the infection chart with 10 new cases, followed by Taraba State with nine new cases while Kaduna recorded three. Rivers and Kwara reported two and one respectively.
Latest update from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control shows that the new cases raised the total infection in the country to 166,560.
The public health agency also said no new death was recorded from the infection on Wednesday, leaving the country’s fatality at 2, 099.
A total of 156,946 people have also been discharged after treatment since the disease broke out in Nigeria last year.
