Nigeria has recorded 1,303 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s infection rate to 124,299.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which disclosed this on its official Twitter handle, also said the new COVID-19 cases were recorded in 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The breakdown of the figure on a state-by-state basis revealed that Lagos remains on the lead with 478 cases followed by FCT and Nasarawa with 211 and 83 cases respectively.

Data from NCDC also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities in Nigeria stood at 1,522 as 15 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours while recoveries stood at 99,276.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,267 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 124,263.
