Nigeria end malaria: Elimination of malaria by 2030 will save Nigeria ₦2trn – Buhari


In the bid to eradicate malaria in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Nigeria End Malaria Council, in line with the African Union Assembly Declaration for the Establishment of EMCs continent-wide.

Speaking at the inauguration on Tuesday in Abuja, President Buhari projected that Nigeria will save N2 Trillion from Malaria elimination.

He also appointed the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, as Chairman of the 16-member Council, adding that that tackling malaria holds both public health and socio-economic benefits for Nigeria.
