The National Examinations Council (NECO) has postponed the ongoing Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations indefinitely.
This is according to a statement by the body’s Head of Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani.
According to him, the decision was deemed necessary due to the current security challenges which the country is facing due to the #EndSARS protests.
He further revealed that the decision was taken in order to maintain the integrity and security of the examination procedures for seamless conduct of the Council’s examination.
He however added that the Governing Board thereafter resolved that when normalcy returns, the Council will continue with the conduct of the examinations in all States.
