NDLEA destroys 120 tonnes of seized drugs in Lagos


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized and destroyed about 120 tonnes of hard drugs in the Badagry area of Lagos State.

This was made known by the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive, Brigadier General Buba Marwa during a press briefing in Lagos on Thursday.

Addressing journalists at the event, Marwa explained that the drugs are those seized in the Lagos zone within the last two years.

The seizure consists of bags of Cannabis known as Indian Hemp, cartons of Tramadol, cough syrup laced with codeine, cocaine, and heroin amongst other illicit items.

The Chairman maintained that the agency is committed to riding the country of hard and dangerous drugs.
