Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss Among Top Nigerian Artists on YouTube Music
Nigerian gospel music stars Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss have made their mark as some of the most-streamed Nigerian artists on YouTube Music for the first quarter of 2025, even surpassing a number of popular Afrobeats acts.
Data from Debut Hub revealed that Nathaniel Bassey topped the gospel category with a remarkable 52.8 million streams, followed by Mercy Chinwo with 46.4 million streams, and Moses Bliss at 41.5 million.
Mercy Chinwo’s biggest hit, “Excess Love,” stands out with a massive 133 million plays, while Nathaniel Bassey’s top tracks, including “Yahweh Sabaoth” with 25 million streams, “TOBECHUKWU” (featuring Mercy Chinwo Blessed) with 39 million, and “Jesus Iye” with 32 million, have also contributed significantly to his popularity.
In the broader YouTube Music rankings, Nathaniel Bassey secured the 13th spot, Mercy Chinwo came in at 17th, and Moses Bliss ranked 19th, ahead of Afrobeats singer BNXN.
