The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Senate to send the names of the nominees to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The party said this through its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.

According to the PDP, the screening exercise should enable the Senate identify any nominee who are facing allegations of corruption, abuse of office and stealing of public funds.

The PDP also called on the Senate to identify some of the nominees who have failed to defend their corruption allegations pending in court.

The party urged the Senate to, take a cursory look into the allegations of bribe-for-ministerial-slot, making the rounds in the public space.
