Min. of Police Affairs says Terrorists Working With ISWAP To Unleash Terror In North East Nigeria


The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Dingyadi, says the federal government is not resting on its promises towards tackling rising insecurity in the country.

Speaking during a press briefing at the State House on the current state of policing and security in the country, as well as the ongoing innovation been executed in the Police force, the minister said efforts have been utilsed towards improving manpower requirements in Nigeria through recruitment of constables, information technology for biometric data capturing and the establishment of the best West African police system for intelligence gathering in sub-Saharan, Africa.

The minister also revealed that all necessary guidelines for the new salary package for the force have been concluded and forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for onward implementation.

This comes five months after the minister approved a 20% upward review of salary for the police expected to take effect from January 2022.
