LASBCA evacuates occupants of highly distressed structures in Mushin


Barely 24 hours after the collapse of an abandoned building at Oke-Arin area of Mushin on Wednesday, officials of  the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) on Thursday stormed the entire length and breadth of Mushin area to uncover more distressed structures for demolition.

During the monitoring and compliance exercise, occupants of a 3-floor highly distressed residential/commercial structure earlier marked for demolition at 22, Ojuwoye Street, Mushin area of the State were evacuated.

Leading the officials of the agency during the exercise, the Director of Enforcement , Olaopa Olusoji, said that the Monitoring and Compliance exercise was part of the Agency’s routine mandate aimed at nipping in the bud incessant building collapse in the State.
