In major cities across the world, pedestrian bridges are constructed for the singular purpose of helping pedestrians cross busy highways without exposing themselves to the risk of being knocked down by motorists. The reverse is however the case in Nigeria as many pedestrians have abandoned these bridges. Despite all efforts by the government to ensure that citizens use these bridges, lots of reasons have been brought forward by citizens who try to establish a case for neglecting the pedestrian bridges.
