Kogi records new COVID-19 case


Kogi State has recorded a new case of coronavirus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced this on Wednesday, saying the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Kogi now number three, with no death and no recovery.

According to the NCDC, as at the 3rd of June 2020, Nigeria has 348 new confirmed cases and 1 death, but no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.

Following the announcement of the COVID-19 index case, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, had declared a two-week lockdown in the Kabba Local Government Area of the state to allow for contact tracing.
