Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has signed a new contract with the club that will allow him run till 2024.
The club announced this in a statement released on Friday.
“Liverpool Football Club is delighted to announce Jurgen Klopp has agreed a contract extension with the club”, the statement read.
Following the new deal, Klopp will remain at Anfield until 2024 alongside his assistants, Peter Krawietz and Pepijn Lijnders, also agreeing to similar contracts.
The 52-year-old in a statement said he never had plans to leave Liverpool, which is arguably the best team in the world on current form.
Klopp also said he plans to bring the glory days back to Anfield.
Klopp, who joined the Reds in October 2015, led the club to win the Champions League title last season and finish second with 97 points in the Premier League.
They lead the top flight this season and have an eight-point lead in pursuit of a first league title since 1990.
Liverpool will host Watford on Saturday at 12:30 GMT before their main squad head off to Qatar to play in the FIFA Club World Cup.
