Kebbi 2027: Senator Aliero Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Tinubu, and Governor Idris

Senator Aliero dismisses speculations of discontent, backs Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris and President Bola Tinubu ahead of 2027 elections.

Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero has reaffirmed his firm commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, amid swirling political speculations in the state.

In a statement released by his media office in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, Aliero dismissed recent claims attributed to one Tijani, who allegedly suggested the senator was disillusioned with certain elements within the party.

Aliero, a former PDP chieftain who recently defected to the APC, clarified that he remains aligned with the party’s leadership and development agenda.

“I stand firmly with the APC and our esteemed leaders, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris,” he stated. “Their visionary leadership and dedication to progress have uplifted Kebbi State and set a benchmark for governance in Nigeria.”

Aliero, alongside Senators Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South), defected to the APC in a wave of high-profile political realignments believed to be setting the stage for the 2027 general elections.

The senator emphasized that the developmental progress being recorded in Kebbi is the result of collaborative leadership under the APC and urged stakeholders to remain unified.

“The strides we’re witnessing in Kebbi are due to the hard work and unity within our party. I call on all members and supporters to stay focused and committed to building a stronger, more prosperous state,” Aliero added.

The statement is seen as an effort to solidify party unity and silence internal dissent as political camps begin to reposition ahead of the next electoral cycle.
