Ilechukwu Disappointed as Rangers Fall to Kwara United in President Federation Cup Semi-Final

Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has voiced his disappointment following his team’s elimination from the President Federation Cup, after a 1-0 loss to Kwara United in the semi-final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, on Wednesday.
The only goal of the match came in the 48th minute, with Wasiu Alalade scoring for Kwara United. Rangers, who had hoped to claim the President Federation Cup after falling short in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title race to Remo Stars, were left frustrated by the result.
Ilechukwu attributed the loss to his side’s slow start to the game. “This is a really sad loss for us as a team, but we’ve accepted it as one of the possible outcomes of a football match. It wasn’t meant to be our day,” the young coach said after the game.
“Our first half was not up to standard, but we came back stronger in the second half. However, that defensive error was costly and ultimately cost us the game.”
