Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu is optimistic about his team’s chances ahead of their CAF Champions League encounter with Benin Republic’s AS Sobemap.
The Nigerian champions will host AS Sobemap in Abeokuta this weekend in the first leg of their first preliminary-round fixture.
Ilechukwu said Rangers are determined to secure maximum points before the return leg.
“The game against AS Sobemap is going to be interesting because the whole management of the visitors are here in Abeokuta for the game,” Ilechukwu told 54footballx.
“We won’t give up on the players as we will work hard to get the points needed in the game.”
AS Sobemap will welcome Rangers for the second leg next weekend.
