Gunmen abduct naval college students in Edo


Unknown gunmen have abducted several students of the Naval College of Engineering, Sapele, Delta State.

The incident happened on Monday in Edo state while the students were returning from Kaduna to Sapele.

An 18-seater bus conveying the students was said to have been attacked and the occupants abducted.

But according to the spokesperson of Edo Police command, Kotongs Bello, 14 of the abducted students have been rescued by officers of the command while five others are still with the abductors.

He thereafter added that the police are currently on the trail of the kidnappers so as to rescue the remaining students.

Meanwhile, the school authority is yet to make an official  statement on the incident.
