Group decries high-handedness, political intolerance by gov. Umahi

A group known as the Worried Nigerian Group has staged a peaceful protest in Abuja against what it called highhandedness and political intolerance by Ebonyi state governor Dave Umahi.

The group displaying placards with different inscriptions allege that the state security outfit Ebube-Agu is being used by the government to abuse, intimidate, terrorise and clampdown on opposition parties in the state.

The protesters allege that social activities including church services are banned by the state government in some areas based on political reasons while no political gathering is allowed by the Ebube Age militia on the instruction of the state government.
